Public Notice Jay County Board of Zoning Appeals Public Hearing Notice Notice is hereby given that: Jim Haffner & & Richard Haffner, 5568 N 450 E, Bryant, Indiana, have filed with the Jay County Board of Zoning Appeals a petition, # VAR2014-04-22, requesting a Variance to the zoning regulations, to wit: Location: 5618 N 450 E, Bryant IN, Bearcreek Township, Section 23 Parcel ID: #38-03-23-100-007.000-020 Action Requested: The construction of one (1) 540 head veal barn and open lagoon on said property. The Jay County Confined Feeding Ordinance Section 216.3 Setbacks for Lagoons (#2) states All structures and lots must be set back 1,500 feet from any area zoned Commercial (COM). The proposed structure & lagoon will be approximately 300 feet from a Communication Tower property zoned Commercial (COM) requiring a variance of 1,200 feet. All other setback requirements can be met without any issues.
