Public Notice Public Hearing Notice The Town of Redkey intends to apply to the USDA Rural Development for a grant/loan from the USDA Rural Development Program. These funds are to be used for a combined sewer overflow project that will include the following activities: sewer separation and water treatment plant upgrades. The total amount of USDA funds to be requested is $9,800,000. The Applicant also proposes to expend an estimated $115,000 in non-USDA funds on the project. These non-USDA funds will be derived from the following sources: cash on hand. The Town of Redkey will hold a public hearing on March 19, 2013, at 6:30pm, in Redkey Town Hall, located at 20 S. Ash St. in Redkey, Indiana to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed federally funded USDA Rural Development project. Persons with disabilities or non-English speaking persons who wish to attend the public hearing and need assistance should contact Ami M Huffman at 118 S. Information related to this project will be available for review prior to the public hearing as of March 1, 2013 at the office of Ami M Huffman at 118 S. Interested citizens are invited to provide comments regarding these issues either at the public hearing or by prior written statement. Written comments should be submitted to Ami M Huffman at 118 S. Meridian St. in Portland, Indiana no later than March 16th, 2013 in order to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings. A plan to minimize displacement and provide assistance to those displaced has been prepared by the Town of Redkey and is also available to the public.
