Ben Inman drove in Isaac Roop in the bottom of the sixth inning Wednesday to give Ponderosa a walk-off, 15-14 win over All Circuit Electrical in the championship game of Portland Junior League’s Rookie baseball division.
The champions overcame two, two-run deficits and trailed by as many as three runs in the fourth inning to complete their undefeated season.
Ryne Goldsworthy, Jayden Comer and Roop led the Ponderosa offense with four hits each. Goldsworthy drove in a team-high five runs. AJ Myers tallied three hits and a pair of RBIs, and Hank Imel both had two hits. Imel also had three RBIs.
Timo Minnich paved the way for All Circuit’s offense, recording five hits and four RBIs. Cameron Clark, Ethan Gillum and Lance Stuckey all had three hits. Charley Bye and Grant Wendel added two
