A couple of Jay County High School graduates led the competitors Wednesday in the Jay County 4-H Beef Show at Jay County Fairgrounds.
Kyle Garringer and Katie Snyder, both of whom graduated from JCHS in June, took Grand Champion Beef Steer and Reserve Grand Champion Beef Steer respectively. Snyder also won for Champion Rate of Gain Steer and Beef Herdsman while Hunter Prescott had the Champion Rate of Gain Feeder.
Prescott added a victory for advanced showmanship. Trevor Homan won for senior showmanship, and Abigail Benter took the top spot for intermediate showmanship.
