Several local churches are planning special services and events for the Easter season.

Events scheduled include:

•Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fort Recovery Church of the Nazarene.

•Unclouded Day Vocal Ensemble will perform at 10:30 a.m. Sunday presenting a Palm Sunday program at Bryant Wesleyan Church. The group from Fort Wayne  features 10 members led by pianist Alexander Klepach.

•A showing of the movie “Son of God” at 5 p.m. Sunday at Redkey Church of the Nazarene. There will also be an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. April 20 and Easter worship at 10 a.m. April 21.

•South Adams Ministerial Association’s good Friday service at 1:30 p.m. April 19 in the Swiss Village Auditorium. It will feature two duets by Brian Habegger, Neil Potter, Sarah Steffen and Mary Zuercher. First Missionary Church’s Pastro Rick Schwartz will persent the message.

•Portland Friends Good Friday Service at 6 p.m. April 19. The church, located at 226 E. Main St., will also host an Easter “son-rise” service at 8 a.m. April 21 followed by a breakfast. The morning service will be at 9:15 a.m.

•Easter breakfast and worship service at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m., respectively, on April 21 at First Church of Christ in Fort Recovery.

•Easter breakfast at 9 a.m. followed by worship service at 10 a.m. April 21 at Faith Evangelical Church, 9560 W. 200 South, Dunkirk.

Fun night

Evangelical Methodist Church, 930 W. Main St., Portland, will hold a Friday Fun Night from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday. For more information, call Pastor Steve Arnold at (260) 251-0970.

Concert set

Swiss Village in Berne will host a concert featuring contemporary praise and worship music with Southern gospel songs this weekend.

Free community meal

Bread of Life Community Family Meal will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 204 E. Arch St., Portland.

Everyone is welcome to share a meal and conversation.

Revival set

A revival is scheduled for April 26 through 29 at Evangelical Methodist Church.

John Myers will serve as the evangelist for the event. The Christianaires will be the song evangelists.

Sessions are scheduled for 7 p.m. April 26 and 27, and 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. April 28. There will be a carry-in meal after the morning service April 28.

To celebrate

St. Paul Catholic Church in Sharpsburg, Ohio, will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday with a service at 1:30 p.m. April 28.

The event will include showing “Divine Mercy 101,” which provides information about the event and the mission of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska. At 2:45 p.m., the will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with the Litany of the Precious Blood and other prayers, followed by singing of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 3 p.m. and praying of the rosary at 3:45 p.m. The service will close with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
