Community members are invited to an open forum on drug and alcohol addiction Wednesday.

Partners of the Consortium for Opioids Response and Engagement-East Central Indiana (CORE-ECI) will meet at 7 p.m. at Portland Fire Department, 1616 N. Franklin St.

The new consortium, a composition of several local organizations and IU Health, is dedicated to improving Jay County’s response to drug and alcohol addiction. Wednesday’s discussion will focus on strengthening prevention, treatment and recovery services in the county.

Consortium partners are eager to hear from the public, specifically those who have been impacted by alcohol or drug addiction.

No registration is required.
