Portland legion hosting free concert
Taking Note
Friday, December 3, 2021 12:09 PM
The Portland legion is getting ready to rock.
American Legion Post 211 will host the Nefunkle Band from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at 211 W. Walnut St., Portland. The free event is a tribute to the late Phil Rowles, who was an active member of the legion leading up to his death earlier this year.
Nefunkle Band will be performing classic, modern and blues rock music. There will also be a 50/50 drawing — participants do not need to be present to win.
The bar and kitchen will be open, and members of the public are welcome to join. For more information, call (260) 726-4449.
