Probation violation

A Dunkirk resident was arrested Wednesday for violating their probation.

Brooke A. Bennett, 21, 222 W. Jay St., has an original Level 5 felony charge for maintaining a common nuisance.

Bennett was released from Jay County Jail on a $5,000 bond.



Drug possession

A Dunkirk woman was arrested Thursday for possession of methamphetamine.

Keesha C. Taylor, 27, 346 E. Center St., was preliminarily charged with a Level 5 felony, along with two Level 6 felonies for possession of paraphernalia and obstruction of justice.

She’s being held on a $15,000 bond in Jay County Jail.



Failed to appear

A Muncie man was arrested Thursday for failing to appear in court.

Jerrod D. Corn, 32, 8411 S. 300 West, has the following original charges: a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine, a Class A misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license, a Class C misdemeanor for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia.

He’s being held without bond in Jay County Jail.



Illegal possession

A Richmond man was arrested Tuesday for gun possession as a felon.

Joey L. Adams Jr., 30, 92 NW I St., was preliminarily charged with two Level 5 felonies for possession of a handgun by a felon and possession of an altered firearm, along with a Class B misdemeanor for criminal mischief.

He’s being held on a $10,000 bond in Jay County Jail.
