Dealing drugs

Two people were arrested this week for dealing drugs.

Heather R. Morgan, 36, 8733 W. 500 North, Farmland, was arrested Wednesday and preliminarily charged with a Level 3 felony for dealing in methamphetamine, two Level 6 felonies for unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of a narcotic drug, a Class A misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance, a Class B misdemeanor for possession of marijuana and a Class C misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia. She was released from Jay County Jail on a $45,000 bond.

Christopher E. Best, 38, 216 E. Main St., Portland, was arrested Tuesday and preliminarily charged with a Level 2 felony for dealing in methamphetamine and a Level 6 felony for unlawful possession of a syringe. He’s being held on a $15,000 bond in Jay County Jail.



Failed to appear

Two men were arrested Tuesday for failing to appear in court.

Gerardo Delgado-Diaz, 43, 610 E. Main St., Union City, Ohio, was preliminarily charged with a Level 6 felony for possession of methamphetamine. He’s being held without bond in Jay County Jail.

Thomas L. Wright, 26, 9447 W. 700 South, Redkey, was preliminarily charged with Level 6 felony for arson. He’s being held in Jay County Jail without bond.
