Jane Bailey, age 71, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, at her Noble Township home in Jay County.

She and her husband farmed in Noble Township for many years. She worked at CTS in Berne and The Commercial Review in Portland.

She was a member of the Noble Busy Bees, and council president of the Jay County Extension Homemakers Club. She was a longtime member of the Jay County Conservation Club.

Jane was born Sept. 29, 1947, in Portland, Indiana, the daughter of Ralph and Naomi (Sorbray) Sibery. She was married to Tom Bailey on Nov. 26, 1966, and he passed away on Nov. 22, 2013.

Survivors include:

One son — Brian Bailey (wife: Jenni), Portland, Indiana

One daughter — Barbara Isenburg (fiancé: Tim McMillan), Dunkirk, Indiana

Two granddaughters — Ciara and Lexie Bailey

One sister — Elsie DeBoy (husband: Richard), Deerfield, Indiana

Two brothers — Robert Sibery (wife: Jeanette), Union City, Indiana, and James Sibery, Indianapolis, Indiana

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral home in Portland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pastor Darrell Borders will officiate the services, and burial will follow in the Salamonia Cemetery.
