Jerry Arnold, age 77, of Bryant passed away Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Decatur on Feb. 20, 1941, the son of Kenneth and Mary (Myers) Arnold. He was married June 24, 1961, to Wanda Brotherton, who survives.
He had worked for Dunbars and Berne Furniture. He was a 1959 Bryant High School graduate. He attended Bryant Wesleyan Church and was a member of Independant Order of Foresters and Bryant Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Wanda; one son, David Arnold (wife: Kim) of Portland; one daughter, Malinda Gambill (husband: Jack) of Berne; one brother, Norman Arnold of Venice, Florida; two sisters, Nancy Dull (husband: Bob) of Bluffton and Patty Skinner (husband: Sam) of Albany; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home in Portland with Pastor Paul VanCise presiding. Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery west of Bryant. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
