To the editor:

Thank you to those who recently helped my son Rob Walter celebrate his 50th birthday.

Our dear neighbors the Dunmoyer and Hartman families planned the drive-by event.

Portland Fire Department and Jay County Sheriff’s Office were wonderful to a parade leaders.

Rob’s reaction was priceless.

Friends and family honked, waved and yelled out birthday wishes.

Everyone helped give Rob smiles, much-needed in these stressful times.

Thank you again, dear ones, for helping Rob celebrate in spectacular style.

Smile,

Helen Walter
