FRHS softball
Friday, April 22, 2022 10:43 PM
NEW PARIS, Ohio — The Indians went on the road Friday night and returned with consecutive losses for the first time this season.
Fort Recovery High School’s softball team went scoreless through the first four innings Friday night in a 6-2 loss to the host National Trail Blazers.
The Indians (9-4), who were coming off of a loss Thursday to St. Henry, gave up three runs apiece in the second and fourth innings. They scored their only runs in the top of the fifth.
Jackie Homan suffered the loss for FRHS, giving up six runs on 10 hits in six innings. She struck out three batters and did not allow a walk.
Ella Schoen paced the Tribe offense, going 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Chloey Grisez added two hits, and Maddie Guggenbiller singled and scored a run.
Fort Recovery will try to get back on track today when it visits Jackson Center.
