Fisher wins fifth straight

Fisher Meats edged Jay County Therapeutics on Wednesday by a 5-4 margin in Portland Junior League’s Minor softball division.
It marked the fifth straight win for Fisher.
Adria Roessner and Madysen Taylor both had doubles and two RBIs apiece for Fisher. Rook Shaver added a single. Erin Aker recorded the win, striking out seven in four innings. Calie Yates struck out the final three batters to get the win.
Natalie May led Jay County Therapeutics with an inside-the-park home run. Carley Trinidad contributed two singles and scored once, while Emily Young and Bristol Brewster each had singles.
Pioneer 17,
Pak-A-Sak 15
Bryce VanSkyock hit a home run and Karson Schilling went 5-for-5 as Pioneer Packaging scraped by Pak-A-Sak on Tuesday in Rookie baseball action.
VanSkyock added four singles to go 5-for-5. He added five runs, and Schilling chipped in four runs. Maverick Hudson hit a double and three singles.
Eli Homan and Koltyn Garringer were both 5-for-5 for Pak-A-Sak. Homan homered with three triples and a double. Garringer tripled four times and also had a double.
Rock 14, REMC 6
Three players were 5-for-5 in leading Rock Church to a Rookie softball victory.
Bella Barnett, Ellie Wiggins and Emery Forthofter were each perfect at the plate. Chloe Yates and Channa butler were 4-for-5, while Journi Dalrymple was 4-for-4. Devin Thobe and Chessa Butler chipped in two hits each.
Shylynn Blowers led Jay County REMC with three hits. Danica Chowning and Haley Comer both had two hits, and Lilah Hudson added one hit.
