Lions edge Flamespray

Portland Lions Club got a balanced effort on offense to edge Flamespray 8-7 in Portland Junior League Willie Mays baseball Thursday night.
Inman U-Loc rolled over Priority Plastics 11-2 in the other Willie Mays game, and Pak-a-Sak topped All Circuit Electrical 17-1 in Rookie baseball.
Alex Miller led Lions on offense with a double and a single. Skyler Esparza, Andrew Day, Eli Stockton, Aryon Montes and Corbin Butler.
Nick Snow smacked a three-run home run as part of a 3-for-3 effort for Flamespray.
Inman 11, Priority 2
Pitchers Joe Geesaman and Gavin Byrum shut down Priority Plastics, recording all of their 15 outs via strikeout. Geesaman also blasted a couple of home runs, Byrum had a triple and Chase Bragg drove in a pair of runs.
Recording hits for Priority Plastics were Will Patterson and Isaak Weaver.
Pak-a-Sak 17,
All Circuit 1
Sawyer Young was a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Pak-a-Sak hit parade. Koltyn Garringer, Cash Reynolds, Eli Homan and Henry Teeter all went 3-for-3, with Garringer and Homan each contributing a home run.
Anderson Layton was 2-for-2 with a double for All Circuit.
