The Rookie baseball contests had at least a 10-run margin.

Lions Club and Flamespray Machine Service both eked out narrow victories while Matt’s Garage and Barnett’s Auto Parts both had double-digit triumphs Tuesday in Portland Junior League action.

Alex Miller doubled for the Lions in its 10-9 win over PG-14 in the Willie Mays division. Dillon Jellison and Eli Stockton both tripled, while Cooper Reynolds hit a double and a single. Skyler Esparza contributed a pair of singles.

Carson Busick hit a single and a double while driving in three runs for PG-14. Grant Fennig doubled with two RBIs, and Mavrick Reier had a single. Andrew Myers drew three walks.

In the same division, Nick Snow stole home to give Flamespray a 6-5 victory against Priority Roofing. Varen Ridgeway, Leighton Brown and Roman Clamme had one hit apiece. Snow also struck out nine batters and Brown fanned eight batters.

Stats for Priority Roofing were not provided.

Matt’s Garage totaled 30 hits in its 19-5 victory against All-Circuit Electrical in their Rookie baseball tilt.

Blake Jellison, Benson Armstrong and Ethan Peterson were all 4-for-4. Armstrong knocked in five RBIs with three runs, Jellison drove in two runs and scored three times, and Peterson scored twice with an RBI.

Tyan Rogers and Conner Richmond were 3-for-3 in the All-Circuit loss. Beckham Hough and Karson Hines each collected two RBIs.

Also in Rookie league, Thayer Jutte and Finn Hemmelgarn both homered as Barnett’s Auto Parts picked up a 19-9 win over Williams Auto Parts.

Jutte also added two singles, three RBIs and three runs. Hemmelgarn added a single with three RBIs and a pair of runs. Kendel Glessner tripled, doubled and singled while scoring three times. Josh Brown hit two doubles and a single and tallied four RBIs.

Eli Westgerdes led Williams with a triple, a double, two singles, four RBIs and a pair of runs. Kellen Keys contributed a double and a single with three runs and an RBI. Bentley Brunswick had four singles and scored twice.
