VAN WERT — Jalyn Bruns already had the record for an 18-hole match.

She’s got the mark for nine holes now, too.

Jalyn Bruns, a Fort Recovery High School sophomore, fired three birdies on her way to a school-record 1-over par 36 on Thursday in leading the record-setting Tribe girls golf team to a 191-212 victory against the Lincolnview Lancers at Willow Bend Country Club.

The team’s 191 was the lowest in program history, and Bruns added her name to the record books again after shooting an 83 in the season-opening invitational.

Bruns birdied both the par-4 first and fifth holes, and made birdie on the par-5 sixth hole. Her only blemishes were a bogey and a triple bogey.

Shelby Stammen was second on the team with 46, and Alli Vaughn shot 52 for third. Kendra Dues completed the team total with her 57.

Paige Bihn (67) and Macey Brunswick (68) also competed.
