Continues FFA scholarships
Moser Motor Sales will help two local students attend the college of their choice.
The company is sponsoring the Build Ford Tough collegiate scholarship program for South Adams High School and Jay County High School.
To be eligible, FFA members must submit an online scholarship application at www.ffa.org and take the required Signature Page to Moser Motor Sales for the dealer endorsement and official dealer code.
Merger complete
First Merchants Corporation successfully completed its previously announced merger with CFS Bancorp, Inc., of Munster.
Citizens Financial Bank has also merged with First Merchants Bank, which, combined, has 95 banking centers in Illinois, Indiana and Ohio and $3.5 billion in loans, $4.3 billion in deposits.
It also has total assets and shareholders’ equity of $5.5 billion and $653 million, respectively.
The full integration of Citizens Financial Bank under First Merchants Corporation will be completed during the first quarter of this year.
New boutique opens in Fort Recovery
Krista Muhlenkamp, a former Jay County English teacher, recently opened Sunshine Boutique on Wayne Street in Fort Recovery.
The boutique offers a variety of designer labels, and Muhlenkamp travels to Chicago and Indianapolis to pick out clothing items that fit a variety of price levels. She also works with local artisans.
Prices range from $20 to $100 for blouses, and sizes range from small to 3XL.
The shop is located at 128 N. Wayne St., and is open Tuesdays and Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday noon to 5 p.m.; Thursdays 9 a.m. to noon and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Alliance for Strategic Growth names COO
Mike Row, president and CEO of Alliance for Strength Growth, recently named Mellisa Leaming as the chief operating officer. Leaming has more than 20 years of experience in the field of workforce development and has served as the director of operations for ASG since 2006. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management from Ball State University.
