Ball State University senior Kaytee Lorentzen will serve as an intern with The Commercial Review this summer.
Lorentzen, 21, is working on a bachelor’s degree in journalism — specializing in photography — and a minor in philosophy.
She is a photographer for Ball Bearings, Ball State’s student-run print and online magazine.
Lorentzen graduated from Center Grove High School in 2011 with Academic Honors.
She works at Outback Steakhouse in Muncie while attending Ball State. Photography has been a part of her life since childhood.
Her interests include dancing, writing, photography and watching the Food Network.
State of the Heart employee honored
A State of the Heart Hospice employee was recently recognized for promotional work she designed for the company’s “Heart & Sole” 5K race.
Jessica Winn, communications specialist, was honored by Graphic Design USA.
The national graphics association recognized with a certificate of excellence 15 percent of 4,000 contest entries.
State of the Heart Hospice has an office in Portland.

Rob Cleveland is now director of economic development and community relations and was formerly manager of economic business and development.
Muncie Swift to be replaced by Marathon
Swifty Gas on South Madison Street in Muncie is expected to close and be replaced by a Marathon convenience store.
Seymour businessman Don W. Myers, who founded the business in 1963, died in July 2013.
It’s believed his death led to the decision that the company would get out of the gas and oil business.
In recent weeks, Swift locations have closed in Anderson, Richmond, Louisville and other cities.
