Faller single lifts Fort Recovery (05/09/03)

Local Roundup

It took longer than they might have liked, but the Fort Recovery baseball team defeated Versailles Thursday. The 2-1, 10-inning victory pulled the Tribe back within one game of .500 at 11-12 and evened its Midwest Athletic Conference record at 3-3.

The Indians led 1-0 after one inning, but Versailles scored once in the top of the third to tie the score. Both teams went without a run for the next six innings before Greg Faller delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th.
