Fort football tickets on sale Thursday (08/27/03)

Tickets for Fort Recovery’s football game Friday at Parkway will be available beginning Thursday.
They will be sold from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, and from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday in the high school office. Tickets will also be sold in the middle school office Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Pre-sale tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults. All tickets at the gate will be $5.
JC JV football tops Delta
Four turnovers aided the Jay County junior varsity football team to an opening-game win over the Delta Eagles Monday, 12-0.
The Patriots kept Delta off the board early by causing three first-half turnovers. Fumble recoveries by Trent Bash and Justin Gilbert, and an interception from Keith Schubert kept the game scoreless at halftime.
Gilbert removed the zeroes with a 65-yard punt return for a score in the third quarter for a 6-0 Jay County lead. Chris Elmore kept the Eagles’ offense silent with an interception in the fourth quarter, and Devon Huftel capped the scoring with a 3-yard run.
The defense for the Patriots held Delta to just over 100 yards of total offense in the contest.

Fort Recovery’s freshman football team suffered a loss in its opening game of the season Monday.
