Fort players honored (11/05/04)

Three Fort Recovery athletes were honored as the Midwest Athletic Conference announced its all-league teams Thursday.
Seniors Greg Faller, a linebacker, and Dusty Guggenbiller, a defensive back, were named to the MAC all-conference defensive second team. Fellow senior Tyler Wuebker earned honorable mention on the all-MAC defensive team.
Quarterback Nate Stahl of St. Henry was the offensive player of the year, and linebacker Ross Homan of Coldwater was the defensive player of the year. Coldwater’s John Reed earned coach of the year honors.
Guggenbiller led the Indians this season with 77 tackles, and Faller had 63. Wuebker shared the MAC lead with three fumble recoveries.
Schedule change
Fort Recovery’s boys basketball game against Mississinawa Valley, which was scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 27, has been changed. The game will now be played Saturday, Dec. 18.
Hockey league
The Wings-n-Wheels roller hockey league in Celina is preparing for its fourth season.
There are two leagues, one from boys and girls from age 4 through students in high school, and one for adults ages 16-and-older. The cost is $60, and equipment is available at no charge.
