South Adams falls

The South Adams baseball team slipped to 0-3 on the season with a 5-2 loss to Blackford Saturday.

Tyler Sprunger took the loss, allowing three runs — two earned — on three hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out three.

South Adams will play at Southern Wells today at 4:30 p.m.

Faller leads Tribe split

Faller went 3-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base, and drove in the only runs for Fort Recovery in the first game. She went 3-for-4 with a triple in the second game, driving in two runs, scoring once and adding a stolen base.

Sarah Schmitz pitched both games, giving up five runs — all unearned — on five hits in the first contest. She walked five and struck out four.

She allowed two earned runs — her first of the season — in the second game. She gave up two hits and seven walks while striking out two.
