Fort Recovery tickets on sale today (08/11/03)

Tickets for the 2003-2004 Fort Recovery athletics season went on sale today.

They are available in the high school office daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Football season tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for students. All tickets at the gate will be $5.

There are no season tickets available for volleyball. Individual match tickets will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Super tickets are also be available, and are good for admission to any sport throughout the Indians’ 2003-2004 school year. Adult super tickets are $125, and student super tickets are $75.

Senior Citizen tickets are available for those 65-and-older, and provide free admission to all home athletic events.

Season tickets for Jay County are on sale daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the JCHS athletics office

For the 2003-2004 school year, an adult super pass is $55, a senior citizen super pass is $35, a student super pass is $25, an adult football season ticket is $15, and an adult basketball season ticket is $35. Jay County will also continue to offer a family pass for $150, which covers admission for a father, mother and all children living at home who are in grades one through 12.

Super ticket and football season ticket holders have until Friday, August 22 to reserve the same seats they had last season. The final day to reserve seats for basketball will be Wednesday, Nov. 26.

Single game tickets for football and basketball this year will be $4.

South Adams tickets for the 2003-2004 school year’s sporting events are available in the high school office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.

They may also be purchased through the athletic booster’s summer mailing.

This year’s season ticket options include the all sports family pass for $150, the adult all sports pass for $50, the student all sports pass for $25 and the Starfire golden pass, which is free.

Individual ticket prices for the upcoming season are:

Fall sports — football, volleyball/JV volleyball - $4; JV football, freshman football, freshman volleyball - $3; junior high volleyball, junior high football - $2; tennis, cross country, golf - free.

Junior high practice

The practice start dates for several area junior high teams have been released.

Practice for the West Jay football team will start Tuesday at 9 a.m.

The South Adams Middle School junior high volleyball team is scheduled to start practicing Wednesday, Aug. 20, with the seventh graders at 3:30 p.m. and the eighth graders at 5 p.m.

Equipment pickup for seventh graders it will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. Practice will begin Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

Golf outing

The Portland Country Club Women’s Association will hold its Rally for a Cure golf outing Tuesday at PCC with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Pee wee football

Registration for the Jay County Pee Wee Football League will be Saturday, Aug. 16 and Saturday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon at Hines-Inman Memorial Stadium in Portland.

The league is for all Jay County students will be in fourth, fifth or sixth grade this year. The entry fee is $25 per child.
