Huelskamp 11th for Fort runners (09/20/04)

EATON, Ohio — Derrick Huelskamp posted another top finish for the Fort Recovery cross country teams as they competed at the Eaton Invitational Saturday.
Huelskamp finished the high school boys race in 18-minutes, one second, which was good for 11th place overall. Lindsay Sudhoff paced the girls team in 22nd with a time of 22:47, and Tina Roessner was 26th in 13:38 for the junior high girls team.
Mitch Fullenkamp was 17th behind Huelskamp, and Austin Burkhardt took 37th in 18:43. Steve Gaerke was 40th in 19:00, and Stan Roessner placed 62nd in 19:45.
Also running for the boys were Jim Roessner (70th in 20:02), Matt Heinrichs (91st in 23:20) and Tyler Huelskamp (121st in 24:53).
Marisa Minor was second for the Tribe girls, placing 36th in 23:56. Sam Bihn finished 40th in 24:19, and Leanne Pottkotter was 45th in 24:33.
Amber Heitkamp followed Roessner in the junior high race, and Andrea Faller was 112th in 16:16.
The Indians will visit Minster Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

VERSAILLES, Ohio — Fort Recovery’s junior varsity football team lost by a 39-6 score to the Versailles Tigers Saturday.
Freshman spikers roll
MARIA STEIN, Ohio — The Fort Recovery freshman volleyball team improved to 4-1 Saturday with a 25-15, 25-22 victory over the Marion Local Flyers.
Jill Pottkotter posted a pair of team highs, finishing with four kills and three blocks. Heather Schmackers led the Indians with 12 digs, while also adding four assists and five points, and Angie Wenning posted five assists as well as three kills and two blocks.
Amy Schoenlein served 13 points and had two blocks, Ashley Grube had six points and six digs and LeAnne Tobin also finished with six digs.[[In-content Ad]]
