Jay grads in all-star games (06/20/08)
Two Jay County High School graduates will play in all star games in July.
Josh Ludy was selected to play in the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Associtiona All-Star Series, and Clint Muhlenkamp will be part of the Grand Insurance All-Star Football Classic.
Ludy, a key to the baseball team's 25-3 record who is set to play at Baylor next year, will play in the three-game series at Notre Dame's Frank Eck Staduim July 12 and 13. He was one of 50 players selected by the IHSBCA, and will also attend the Hoosier Diamond/IHSBCA All-Star Recognition Banquet Friday, July 11.
He was one of Indiana's top performers at the plate this year, ranking seventh in the state with 30 walks and 15th in both home runs (11) and batting average (.554).
Muhlenkamp, who plans to walk on at Ball State, will play for the North team in the all-star game July 18 at North Central High School in Indianapolis. He finished the 2007 season with 83 tackles and two interceptions and helped lead the Patriot football team to its first sectional championship in school history.[[In-content Ad]]
