Leadership class offered

Ivy Tech Corporate College in partnership with John Jay Center for Learning is offering a one-day class for leaders.
“Your Leadership Journey” will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 at John Jay Center for Learning, 101 S. Meridian St., Portland.
The class aims to help leaders reduce the stress associated with the shift to leading others, act with authenticity to build trust, bring out the best in others to enhance engagement and capacity and look for and accept feedback with grace.
The target audience for the class is prospective and first-time frontline leaders. Cost to attend is $159.

Food assistance
Volunteers from Tyson Foods, parent company of Tyson Mexican Original, served more than 17,000 meals last week to relief workers and tornado victims in Nebraska.
Twin tornadoes devastated Pilger, Neb., on June 16. Tyson volunteers from Nebraska and South Dakota were on the site within 24 hours and continued serving through the week.

Buying back notes
Ardagh Packaging Finance and Ardagh Holdings USA Inc. are offering to purchase for cash any and all of their 7.375 percent first priority senior secured notes due in 2017. The offer involves more than 1 billion Euro notes and $860 million in U.S. dollar notes.
The offer began June 23 and expires on July 22.

Gehret selected
as intern
Caitlin Gehret, Fort Recovery, has been hired as the communications/marketing intern for COBA/Select Sires for the summer.
She will work in the office with the marketing staff as well as travel with district sales managers, select mating service specialists, select reproductive solutions specialists and technicians to learn about all aspects of COBA/Select Sires business.
Gehret is a senior at The Ohio State University, where she is working toward a degree in animal sciences. She is active in the Buckeye Dairy Club, the Farm Science Review and fundraising committees.
She was also active in the Fort Recovery Chapter of Future Farmers of America.

Meeting rescheduled
Jay County Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Group meeting scheduled for July 3 has been postponed because of the Fourth of July holiday.
The meeting is rescheduled for 8 a.m. July 22 at the Community Resource Center.[[In-content Ad]]
