SAHS Roundup
South Adams shut down Southern Wells Tuesday for an 11-0 victory.
The Starfire baseball team scored five runs in the first inning and six in the second and didn’t need any more. They cruised to the five inning win as Tyler Sprunger recorded a shortened no-hitter.
Sprunger was spectacular in the contest, not giving up a hit in five innings for the win. He struck out five batters, and allowed just two base runners on a pair of walks.
Jeremiah Kaeser was the offensive leader, going 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI. Kyle Neuenschwander had two hits and two runs, and Doug Roop and Brian “Buzz” Caffee also scored two runs apiece.
Kyle White hit a three-run home run.
South Adams' next game is at Leo Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
