CORRECTION

Incorrect information was provided to The Commercial Review for a Capsule Report in Monday’s paper regarding a weekend run by Portland firefighters.

Portland firefighters were called to a home early Saturday located at 4398 East 300 North, Bryant to investigate a report of smoke in the basement.

The home is owned and occupied by Max Thomas and Barbara Oxley.

THEFT REPORT

A rural Portland man told Jay County police Monday that a load of aluminum siding had been stolen stolen from his property in Madison Township sometime in the last two weeks.

Roger Langenkamp, 3634 East 600 South, reported to county police that somebody had stolen a wagon load of gray aluminum siding from a property located at 6165 South 600 East.

Langenkamp said it appeared that a pickup truck had backed up to the load during the theft.

Estimated value of the siding is $100.[[In-content Ad]]
