Board thankful for project help
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
The Bryant Area Community Center’s heating and cooling project is nearly completed with the new heating/cooling exchange units and limited ductwork already installed and operational.
All the old air-conditioners, heating units and ductwork have been removed giving the inside of the building a more open, uncluttered appearance. The energy efficient units should reduce our heating and cooling bill dramatically with an additional benefit of noise reduction inside the building.
The BACC board and community have always appreciated the assistance our corporate sponsors have given to the center and area recognized every year at our donation dinner. However, this project would never have been possible without the assistance of The Portland Foundation.
The cost for one half of this capital project was awarded to us through a grant from The Portland Foundation. We greatly appreciate the assistance we have received through the workshops that Doug Inman presented on behalf of The Portland Foundation at the John Jay Center to aid us in the grant application process.
Therefore, our community would publicly like to thank The Portland Foundation board for recognizing our need and awarding us this grant.
