To the editor:

Through our transition to IU Health Jay, our paramount goal is to keep the customer experience as our priority.

We have had teams of people at IU Health Jay working diligently since October to ensure that we are in network with as many insurance networks as possible. That will always be an ongoing goal. 

We work with dozens of insurance companies and the enrollment process takes time. During this transition period, some insurance companies’ systems may not recognize the updated IU Health Jay information.

We have put safe guards in place to prevent services being provided as out of network. If you are scheduled to receive care or have already received a statement from your insurance company or a bill from IU Health that you feel should be considered “in network,” please contact us. We want to reduce frustration during this time and ask that you let us know how we can help. 

Patients will always come first.

If you have questions or think your healthcare services may be out of network, please contact us.

Patients with questions regarding their insurance status should call IU Health Jay patient access at (260) 726-1998 for more detailed information related to their specific coverage and planned care.
