Transplant was a display of love
Letters to the editor
To the editor:
Want to know what real love is?
Well, I’ll tell you. It’s putting others ahead of yourself.
That’s what Seth Scott did for my grandson, Kurtis Atkinson. He gave him a kidney.
Seth could have said, “I don’t want to do this,” at any time and they would have stopped. But he didn’t. And Kurtis has a better life with a new kidney.
Jesus did the same for us. While hanging on the cross, He could have called 10,000 angels to take Him down. But He didn’t. He died, arose and went to Heaven so we could have a better life. He put all of us ahead of Himself. That’s real love.
Thank you Seth, and thank you Jesus.
