Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
I am responding to the recent letter from Mr. Ralph Guingrich that was headlined “Consider the impact of your words.”
He requested what my main source of news is.
I am willing to divulge that I cut the cord two years ago, so I watch no televisionnews, or other shows. I receive my news from The Commercial Review and online sources, like msn.com and yahoo.com.
I try not to discriminate from sources of those articles, although I don't read every story online, or watch every video. Therefore, I receive a wide variety of views, even from headlines.
It was brought up about Mrs. Hillary Clinton's use of the term “deplorables .” I find that little different than the term of certain countries being “s***house nations,” which definitely dehumanized many people of this world. That seems to be looking down one's nose, when that was said. We may have a higher living standard, but that does not make Americans superior to others. That could be an entire letter, or series of letters, in itself, explaining my thinking on that subject.
The final remark, a P.S., stated that you voted for neither candidate, in the previous presidential election, but that you did vote. I voted for neither major party candidate in the last two presidential elections, let alone for other national candidates for the major parties.
Yet I have voted inmost every election that I could for many years.
That, sir, is anotherletter, if I were to expound on my thoughts concerning that subject.
Sincerely,
Daniel E. Chase
