Souder family says thank you
Letters to the editor
To the editor:
To the Administration of Fort Recovery Local Schools, the communities of Fort Recovery and Paulding, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the Daily Standard, The Commercial Review and countless others involved in the planning of the “Longest Day Celebration” in honor of Al Souder:
Wow.
The Souder Family cannot express enough our appreciation and love for the thoughtfulness of the gifts and honors that were shared with us Saturday night in Fort Recovery. It is truly humbling and warming to feel the community spirit and love shared in Fort Site Fieldhouse on Saturday night.
The gifts of the original state championship banner, game ball, videos from Fort Recovery High School and the Ohio High School Athletic Association, team shirts for all involved in the evening and the more than $8,000 raised and donated to the Alzheimer’s Association are very gracious, much appreciated and overwhelming.
It means even more to us knowing the kind of people you are and your passion for what you do on a daily basis.
It was an extremely special night for all of us and thank you all so much for being a part of the celebration. We are all still overwhelmed going through pictures and sharing stories of the night.
Another heartfelt thank you.
