Fort Recovery’s baseball team slipped back to the .500 mark Monday after a 9-4 loss against Lima Bath. The Indians (7-7) dug a deep hole allowing four runs in the second inning and three in the third for a 7-1 deficit and never climbed out.

New sectional sites selected
The tentative sites for sectional tournaments involving Jay County for the 2003-07 seasons were released Tuesday. The sites have been agreed upon by the sectional schools, but still need to be approved by the IHSAA.
Bluffton nets 3-2 win over Jay County
An impressive rally at No. 2 singles wasn’t enough to overcome a three-set marathon defeat as Jay County High School’s girls varsity tennis team dropped a 3-2 decision against Bluffton Thursday.

Norwell apparently wasn’t too impressed with Jay County’s No. 4 ranking or its 7-0 record. The Knights promptly knocked the Patriots from the ranks of the unbeaten Tuesday, scoring a 10-0 six-inning victory.

South Adams beats Warriors, Raiders (04/25/03)
Thanks to a couple of wins by Nathan Sprunger and a pair of relay victories, the South Adams boys track team topped Woodlan and Southern Wells Thursday with 71 points.
