After a loss to Class 3A No. 10 Blackford Monday, the South Adams volleyball team got back in the win column Tuesday as it topped the Woodlan Warriors 21-19, 20-22, 21-15, 21-15.

West Jay’s volleyball teams scored a couple of quick wins over Montpelier Thursday. The eighth grade team scored a 21-11, 21-7 win and the seventh grade team was victorious by a 21-14, 21-8 score.

Montpelier never had a chance against the East Jay girls cross country team. The Chiefs swept the top five finishing spots for a perfect 15-40 victory Thursday.
Unbeaten Lakeview shuts out Patriots (10/08/03)
Jay County’s boy soccer team played what coach Alan Bailey called its best game of the year Thursday. Still, the Patriots couldn’t knock Lakeview Christian (14-0) from the ranks of the unbeaten in a 1-0 defeat.
Jay County cruises to OAC championship (10/10/03)
Jay County’s girls finished behind Huntington North at the Blackford Invitational. They didn’t let the Vikings, or anyone else, stay close at the Olympic Athletic Conference meet Thursday.

Saturday’s cross country result shouldn’t have been a surprise to anyone. It was a welcome repeat for the Jay County cross country team of what it saw so many times last year.
