The City of Portland announced in a press release Wednesday that paving for sections of 15 streets will start Monday and continue through May 2, weather permitting.

A 6-run fourth inning powered Fort Recovery High School’s baseball team to triumph over the Shawnee Indians 8-5 on Monday.

Another round of projects approved

Jay County Commissioners agreed to move forward Monday with a second round of projects involved in the owner-occupied rehabilitation program. Jay County community coordinator Darlesia Lee also announced some construction projects from the first round are beginning this week.

Dunkirk forms commission

DUNKIRK — The city now has a redevelopment commission. Dunkirk City Council approved its two appointments to the redevelopment commission Monday while Mayor Jack Robbins named his three appointments.
