Mighty Marvels Optimist Club made a $1,200 donation May 6 to the Pregnancy Care Center of Jay County.

Jay softball splits final two games

Jay County High School’s varsity softball team dropped Thursday’s game at Huntington North 4-2 before dominating the Richmond Red Devils 14-5 to close out the regular season on Friday.

Tribe takes home seven district titles

During the OHSAA Division III district tournament hosted by Spencerville on Friday, the Fort Recovery High School track teams combined for seven district championships, beating out the 2019 squad’s six.

Adam Alig’s effort in the high jump gave the Jay County High School boys track team its only regional berth Thursday as the Patriots finished in the middle of the 13-team sectional field at Delta.

The Jay County High School girls tennis team made quick work of the Union City Indians in the IHSAA Sectional 53 championship match as the singles players paved the path for a 4-1 victory that earned the Patriots their fourth straight sectional title.

Craig Frazee of Dynamic Business Solutions presented an option to Redkey Town Council for livestreaming and recording its meetings, which will be required by state law beginning July 1, 2025.
