Murphy receives award

Justice Murphy, Jay County 4-H grand champion garden exhibitor, received a special 4-H garden award.
One 4-Her from each county recives the award from Green Leaf, Inc., of Fontanet.
He received a plaque, $25 Visa gift card and will be considered for one of the nine regional Green Leaf 4-H awards.
He exhibited a four vegetable garden collection, four single vegetables and two herbs at the county fair and is now exhibiting at the Indiana State Fair.

Olga Kipp to perform
Olga Kipp will perform from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday night at Swiss Village.
From Southern gospel to contemporary Christian and class hymns, Olga shares the message of Christ’s love through her songs.
Saturday Night at the Village is open to the public and free.


JCC?to host specialist
Meridian Health Services Enrollment Specialist and Navigator Sara Hall will be available from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Jay Community Center to discuss the Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Heathwise, other Medicaid programs and the Affordable Care Act.
She can also schedule an appointment for those interested to enroll into a program.

Logo contest begins
The Art Association of Randolph County is hosting a logo contest for individuals of all ages.
The deadline for entries is Oct. 1.
