Felony arrests
Possession of methamphetamine
A Portland man was arrested Thursday and preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance, both Level 6 felonies.
The Drug Task Force received a search warrant through Jay Circuit Court for a home at 827 S. Shank St.
While executing the search warrant, police searched Timothy Newton, 42, who resides in the house, and allegedly found methamphetamine in his pockets.
The police also allegedly found several items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine throughout the house.
Newtown was arrested and booked at 5:08 p.m. into Jay County Jail, where he remains under no bond.
Dealing methamphetamine
A Portland woman already incarcerated is facing more felony charges.
Angela K. Stuckey, 37, who is currently incarcerated at Jay County Jail, was charged with dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony.
On July 17, the Drug Task Force obtained a search warrant for Stuckey’s home at 627 E. Main St., Portland.
During the search, police allegedly found several items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.
