Possession of methamphetamine
A Portland man was arrested Wednesday evening and preliminarily charged with possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony.
The Drug Task Force served an arrest warrant from Jay Circuit Court to Joshua Pogue, 37, 1127 Hagins Ave., for dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony.
Police say Pogue was involved in a methamphetamine bust July 17 at 627 E. Main St., Portland.
When police searched him Wednesday, they allegedly found methamphetamine in his pockets and a one-pot cook vessel used for manufacturing methamphetamine during an inventory search of the vehicle Pogue drives.
Investigators said it was active when they found it and had to be dismantled by Indiana State Police.
He was arrested and booked at 8:29 p.m. into Jay County Jail, where he’s being held without bond.

Dealing
A Portland man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a Jay Circuit Court bench warrant.
Jacob Stewart, 27, 611 W. Arch St., faces two counts of dealing in a Schedule II controlled substance, a Class B felony.
He was arrested and booked at 2:28 p.m. into Jay County Jail. He was later released on a $10,000 bond.

Sexual misconduct
A Winchester man was arrested Tuesday on a circuit court bench warrant.
Gabriel Addington, 21, 521 W. Washington St., Winchester, is charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a Level 4 felony.
He was arrested and booked at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday into Jay County Jail.
He was later released on a $15,000 bond.
