In review
The Indiana Secretary of State’s office announced Tuesday, and it was reported by some news outlets, that Jay County had the best voter turnout in the state in November’s election at 52 percent. That information was inaccurate.
After being contacted Tuesday afternoon by The Commercial Review about the error, the secretary of state’s office has revised its numbers. Jay County had a voter turnout of 41.3 percent, which was 17th among Indiana’s 92 counties and well above the state average of 30 percent. Martin County led the state with a turnout of 49 percent.
