Felony arrests
Residential entry
A Portland man was arrested and preliminarily charged this morning with residential entry, a Level 6 felony, and public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor.
Timothy Duane Newton Jr., 42, 827 S. Shank St., was arrested after he allegedly broke into a neighbor’s residence at 830 S. Shank St. and was part of a verbal altercation.
He was allegedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
He was arrested and booked at 12:31 a.m. into Jay County Jail, where he remains under a $6,000 bond.
