FORT RECOVERY — The Indians didn’t have a very good game offensively.
It was the defense that helped the Fort Recovery High School girls basketball team to its first conference win of the season.
The Tribe held Delphos St. Johns scoreless for nearly 10 minutes — including the entire third quarter — in a 41-21 victory over the visiting Blue Jays.
It’s the first Midwest Athletic Conference victory for first-year girls coach Brian Patch, whose team had lost its previous two games.
Kendra Siefring and Grace Thien both had nine points to pace Fort Recovery (3-2, 1-1 MAC).
