A Portland man was arrested and preliminarily charged Saturday with operating a vehicle while intoxicated with an alcohol concentration equivalent of 0.15 percent or more.
Chandler Stout, 22, 205 Meridian Heights, was pulled over by Jay County Sheriff’s Office around 2:30 a.m. for erratic driving near county road 700 East and Fort Recovery Road. The officer allegedly smelled alcohol coming from the vehicle and administered a sobriety test, which Stout allegedly failed. Stout took a preliminary breath test, which allegedly came back with a blood alcohol content of 0.235 percent.
He was arrested and booked at 3:21 a.m. into Jay County Jail, where he remains under a $3,000 bond.
