Saturday vs. Randolph Southern: Jay County controlled both sides of the court Saturday in a 47-18 rout of the struggling Randolph Southern Rebels. Adam Dirksen had a game-high 13 points and nine rebounds, and his brother Justin also added 13 points.

Saturday at Union County : The Union County Patriots used a 21-point third quarter to take the lead from Class 2A?No. 7 Winchester and held off the Golden Falcons in the fourth to win 55-54. It was the first loss of the season for Winchester.
Scoring leaders (through four games): Points — Kiante Enis 25.3, Michael Georgi 16.8, Alan Birtchen 8.5.
Last season: Jay County held Winchester to a season-low 35 points in a 49-35 victory over the visiting Golden Falcons, snapping a three-game losing streak. The win marked the 300th career victory for coach Craig Teagle, as his son Trey led all players with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Game notes: This is the 45th meeting all time between the two schools, with the Patriots holding the edge 28-16 and having won each of the last three ... Winchester junior Kiante Enis, who picked up a scholarship offer in the fall to play football at Indiana, has been highly recruited on the hardwood as well.
