Students of Month named at West Jay

West Jay Middle School named its Students of the Month for December.
In sixth grade was Demi Grove, the daughter of Cheree and Harry McCallister and Ryan Grove.
In seventh grade was Brinnin Wasson, the daughter of Jeremy and Tabbi Wasson.
In eighth grade was Molly Ault, the daughter of Bill and Amy Ault.

Early New Year
Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center in Geneva will have an early New Year from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 31 for children.
The event will include a countdown to a noon New Year balloon drop, carnival games and refreshments.
Kids will also get to make a plastic bottle shaker noisemaker.

John Jay classes
The Purdue College of Technology will offer classes this spring at John Jay Center for Learning in Portland.
An Applied Leadership class will begin Jan. 12 and Industrial Supply Chain Management will begin Jan. 14.
