Join reading program at Jay Public Library
Taking Note
A Reading and Activity Program, for preschool and elementary school children, will begin in January at Jay County Public Library.
Activity sheets are available at the library. For each five activities completed, participants will receive a small prize and a ticket to enter the end-of-month drawing. Tickets will also be given for books read.
A writer’s guild will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 26 at the library. The group is for anyone aspiring to be a published author or for those that write for enjoyment.
The Cookbook Club will meet at 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 12 with the theme “Casseroles.”
The JayCPL Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 to discuss the book “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio.
The Hook &?Needles Club will meet at 5 p.m. on Jan. 27. Bring projects and supplies and share ideas.
Friends of the Library will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 20.
One 2 One Tech Tutoring to learn basic computer skills and email or download books is available at the library

“In the Company of Sherlock Holmes” by Laurie R. King, “Blue Labyrinth” by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, and “Death Canyon” by David Riley Bertsch.
