Academy of Aeronautics celebrating 75 years
Taking Note
The Academy of Model Aeronautics in Muncie will celebrate its 75th anniversary with a four-day festival.
Events will be held at the International Aeromodeling Center, 5161 E. Memorial Drive, and will begin Thursday from noon until 5 p.m. and continue Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. until dark and Sunday from 8 a.m. until noon.
Included will be aerobatic flying demonstrations, hands-on-radio-controlled flight training, national soaring competition, NASA exhibits, RC boats and cars, tethered balloon rides, full-scale airplane rides for youth and tours of the National Model Aviation Museum.

Earns law degree
Adrienne E. Rines recently earned a Juris Doctor degree from Ohio Northern’s Pettit College of Law at Ohio Northern University.
While attending Ohio Northern, Rines was active in the 21st Amendment Society, the Icelandic Exchange Program, Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, the International Law Society and the Inn of Court professional organization.
She is the daughter of Scott and Nancy Rines, Portland.
Graduates
Steven Minnich, Portland, recently graduated from Trine University in Angola with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
4-H council
Julie Knapke, a graduate of Jay County High School was elected to the State 4-H Junior Leader Council.[[In-content Ad]]
