Adkins named CEO of LifeStream (03/04/06)

LifeStream Services Inc. has named Kenneth Adkins of Indianapolis as its new president/CEO.
Adkins, who was most recently CEO/executive director of Robin Run Retirement Village in Indianapolis, has 30 years of experience in health care, non-profit management, social services, fundraising, public relations and agency administration.
LifeStream Services provides independent living options for disabled individuals and aging adults in East Central Indiana, including Jay County.
After Hours set
The next Portland Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
The event will be held at Arts Place, 131 E. Walnut St., Portland.
ECIHRA to meet
The East Central Indiana Human Resource Association will meet Wednesday at the Delaware Country Club, 510 South Country Club Road, Muncie.
Kevin Eikenberry, founder of The Kevin Eikenberry Group, will discuss “Speed Networking for the Busy Professional.”
Registration begins at 11:30, lunch will be served at noon, and Eikenberry will speak at 12:30 p.m.

In an effort to match qualified Hoosier college students with meaningful work experience in Indiana, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce has launched Indiana INTERNnet.
The free online system has 24,000 students registered and helps match them with spring, summer and fall internships within their field of study. The site can be viewed at www.indianaintern.net.

The 2006 “On the Edge” seminar, held at Wright State University-Lake Campus, will be March 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Discovering Joy at Work” and will feature discussions led by Dr. Bud Baker and Dr. Todd Dewett of the WSU Raj Soin College of Business and by Dr. Thomas Hustak, clinical and forensic psychologist with Applied Psychological Services in Lima, Ohio, and Dr. Michael J. Wuebker, a clinical psychologist and therapist with Behavioral Health Sciences in Celina, Ohio.
The seminar is sponsored by the Celina Rotary Club, Mercer Health and Celina-Mercer Chamber of Commerce.

Hospice grows
State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice dedicated new office space for the second time in two weeks on Tuesday.
The new offices in Coldwater, Ohio, located at 230 W. Main St., were dedicated with a ribbon cutting and open house.
The hospice, which provides support and care to patients with terminal illness and their families, also held a dedication for its expanded office in Portland on Feb. 21.[[In-content Ad]]
